NYPD: Staten Island school evacuated following bomb threat

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Police are in the process of tracking down a caller who made a bomb threat to a Staten Island school Tuesday afternoon, according to a spokesperson for the NYPD.

Police say that an unfounded bomb threat was made to a school located at 101 Warren St. in Stapleton.

The address is shared by both Dreyfus Intermediate School (I.S. 49) and the Eagle Academy for Young Men of Staten Island. It remains unknown at this time which school the threat was made to.

The spokesperson said that a secretary at the school answered a phone call from an “unfounded number,” and the person on the other end of the line made the threat…
