Prom 2025: Geranium Ball: Staten Island Academy Seniors make a grand entrance at the Richmond County Country Club (137 photos)

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Luckily the rain clouds made a sharp turn away as Staten Island Academy held its Geranium Ball, Saturday night, at the Richmond County Country Club.

The Geranium Ball, one of Staten Island Academy’s most beloved traditions, harkens back to the days of a cotillion when young adults were “presented” to society.

Approximately 31 Seniors, their guests and families, traveled from pre-prom festivities, to the country club, guided by a double rainbow. This year’s prom had a pink pastel and gold theme. Seniors danced to Abba’s “Slipping Thru My Fingers”, a song about a mothers regret at how quickly her daughter was growing up and how little time they had spent together.

Grand entrance

Guests arrived dressed to impress for 7 p.m. cocktail hour. The seniors’ memorable entrances included numerous luxury cars, party buses, and SUVs.

Best dressed

Staten Island Academy seniors were exquisitely dressed in stunning gowns, sequined shoes and tuxedos, and their guests were equally dressed to impress. The Advance/SILive.com declared everyone a winner…
