STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Consolidated Edison wants to charge its electricity customers nearly $30 per month more to help cover its increased costs.
The utility company is asking the state’s Public Service Commission to approve an electricity delivery revenue increase of about $1.6 billion. That revenue increase would result in a bill hike for the average residential Con Ed customer of about $26.60, according to the state Department of Public Service.
