New York: Exact time ‘severe’ storm will roll into city before ‘extreme’ heat advisory goes into effect

New Yorkers are bracing for a double whammy of a strong, “severe” storm followed by a heat advisory the following day.

Storms are expected to batter the city for most of Sunday, with the weather front bringing temperatures down into the low 80s, briefly.

But it’s a storm in the early evening, expected around 6pm, that experts are particularly keeping their eye on as it has the potential to cause flooding and gusty winds. And after the flash floods earlier this month, many will be taking these warnings seriously…
