5 people from New York City arrested in Connecticut for using counterfeit money

WESTPORT, Connecticut — Five individuals from New York City were arrested in Connecticut by Westport police Monday after allegedly attempting to pass counterfeit bills at local businesses.

According to Westport police, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the department began receiving calls about multiple people trying to use fake money at several stores in town.
