STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. (PIX11) – A 13-year-old boy was ejected from his moped during a collision with an MTA bus on Staten Island early Tuesday, according to the NYPD.
Police said the 2019 Nova bus, driven by a 69-year-old man, was near Castleton and Park avenues around 1 a.m. when it collided with the teenager.

The 13-year-old was launched off the moped and landed on the pavement, police said. The teen suffered severe head and bodily injuries and was taken to a local hospital in critical condition, according to authorities.
