Staten Island cop lauded for rushing into burning Brooklyn home to save residents

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two quick-thinking NYPD officers, including one from Staten Island, are being lauded for their life-saving work getting residents out of a home that caught fire in Brooklyn.

One of the cops, Police Officer Christopher De Sciora, is a resident of Tottenville, according to public records.

De Sciora and fellow Officer Andy Guo were both assigned to the 60th Precinct’s Quality of Life team on the morning of Aug. 10.
