STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Two quick-thinking NYPD officers, including one from Staten Island, are being lauded for their life-saving work getting residents out of a home that caught fire in Brooklyn.
One of the cops, Police Officer Christopher De Sciora, is a resident of Tottenville, according to public records.
De Sciora and fellow Officer Andy Guo were both assigned to the 60th Precinct’s Quality of Life team on the morning of Aug. 10. Around 11:40 a.m. the pair was alerted to a residential house fire in the vicinity of Canal Avenue and West 36th Street in Brooklyn, according to a statement from the NYPD…
