STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Dash cam footage recently submitted by an anonymous reader shows what could have been a major accident on the Verrazzano-Narrows Bridge.
The video, which was submitted to the Advance/SILive.com anonymously, captures a crash that occurred last month on the span’s lower level.
According to the timestamp on the rear-facing video, around 2 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 25, a Jeep SUV can be seen weaving from the middle lane to the righthand lane.
After that, the Jeep then cuts back into the middle lane, narrowly avoiding the vehicle of the reader who submitted the video, before barreling into the lefthand, Belt Parkway exit lane…
