A Manhattan building burst into flames on Tuesday morning, with tongues of fire seen erupting from the upper floors and roof of the multi-story apartment building on the Upper West Side.
The New York Fire Department said it was responding to the fire in a post at 8:49 a.m., writing, “The FDNY is operating at a 3-alarm fire at 201 West 107th Street in Manhattan.” Minutes later, at 9:12 a.m., the FDNY said the fire had been upgraded to a four-alarm.
