Source: Woman dies after being struck while crossing Staten Island street in area without traffic signal

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A 66-year-old woman died after she and two other pedestrians were struck by a pickup truck while crossing Castleton Avenue outside a marked crosswalk in West Brighton, according to a source familiar with the investigation.

The 66-year-old and two other women, ages 51 and 29, were crossing Castleton about 46 feet west of Barker Street — a stretch without a traffic light — when they were struck by a westbound 2019 gray Ford F-250, according to the source.

No charges have been filed in connection with the crash and the investigation continued on Friday, a spokesman for the NYPD said…
