Man attacked by trio in daylight assault on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – A 40-year-old man was hospitalized after being attacked by three unidentified individuals during a street altercation near Clove Road and Giles Place on the afternoon of November 21, police said.

The incident occurred around 3:14 p.m., when the victim was approached by the group and became involved in a verbal dispute. According to investigators, two of the assailants punched the man while a third threw a cup containing an unknown liquid at him. The victim fell to the ground, at which point one of the attackers reportedly stomped on his head.

EMS transported the man to Staten Island University Hospital – North Campus, where he was listed in stable condition with facial injuries. The three suspects fled the scene on foot, heading westbound on Clove Road.

Police described the first suspect as a male with a medium complexion, last seen wearing a yellow sweater and a dark-colored jacket. The second suspect was described as a male with a dark complexion, wearing a light-colored knit hat and dark jacket. The third suspect was a female with a dark complexion, last seen wearing a light-colored jacket and a blue face mask…
