What I get from the news announcement is that after completing the Police Academy, the new, graduated police, are going to other jobs outside NYC. The training they get in the academy is probably the best in the nation … and they’re taking that to outside locations?
Free job-prep-training, paid for by the taxpayers! Maybe, when they enter the academy, they should be contracted to serve NYC for five years after graduating? And if they leave before, they should have to repay the cost of the training.
NYC needs the newly-graduated police…
