Once bankrupt restaurant chain announces major comeback

If you’re a fan of TGI Fridays 50-cent wings and $5 happy hour, you’re in luck. The beloved restaurant chain — which abruptly closed dozens of locations across the United States in recent years — is attempting a comeback.

The franchise, now down to 380 locations globally, with just 79 in the United States, has announced a new turnaround strategy dubbed “1-2-3 Strategic Vision” that is laser-focused on generating $2 billion in revenue while expanding the company footprint to more than 1,000 restaurants by 2030.

“Our focus as we accelerate our growth is to resonate with the next generation of consumers while preserving the classic Americana feel and signature experience that has made the brand beloved in more than 40 countries,” TGI Fridays CEO Ray Blanchette said in a press release…
