Amanda and Christopher Hayes lost their father, Robert Hayes Jr., of Bordentown, in October 2024. Their mother, Kelly Ann Walsh Hayes, of South Amboy, died on Wednesday, Jan. 14 at 53 years old, according to her obituary from The Gundrum Service “Home For Funerals.”
Kelly was born in Edison and lived in Iselin before moving to South Amboy more than 25 years ago, her obituary says. She had worked for JFK Medical Center in Edison and was a member of St. Mary’s R.C. Church in South Amboy, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and taught Religious Education for many years. She also served on Iselin Emergency Services and First Aid, according to the obituary.
In addition to her husband, Kelly was predeceased by her father; daughter, Katelyn; and her aunt, Kathie Jackson, according to the obituary. She is survived by her daughter, Amanda Rose Hayes; her son, Christopher Hayes; her mother, Marian Rust Walsh; her sister, Laurie Alberty; her uncle, Don Rust; her nieces, Brianna and Francesca Alberty; and several other nieces and nephews, according to the obituary…
