Cars careen into woods in crash on West Shore Expressway on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Cars careened into the woods in a crash on an exit ramp of the West Shore Expressway early in the Tuesday morning rush hour.

Two people were transported to Richmond University Medical Center in West Brighton, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY and EMS. The crash occurred on the South Avenue exit ramp of the southbound expressway.

The FDNY was unable to provide conditions of the two people, but a source at the scene said they did not appear to be seriously injured…
