NEW YORK (PIX11) — Two teens were arrested and charged in connection with an incident where a 16-year-old fell down a 50-foot-deep shaft on the Queensboro Bridge on Monday.
The move follows a days-long investigation by NYPD detectives, as well as calls for criminal prosecution in an online petition from the victim’s family members and friends.

On Thursday evening, the NYPD confirmed that a 14-year-old has been charged with reckless endangerment and criminal trespassing in the incident, and a 15-year-old has been charged with criminal trespassing.
It stems from a situation described by supporters of the 16-year-old boy who was rescued from the Queensboro Bridge after plunging five stories down the shaft as being “left to die” when his friends allegedly ran off as he’d screamed for help.
