Students at high school on Staten Island hold rally to protest ICE enforcement (17 photos)

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Dozens of Curtis High School students left their classrooms on Wednesday afternoon to hold a rally in protest of current U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement actions.

The anti-ICE rally began outside the gates of the school just after 12:45 p.m. The main group of protesters then gathered at Lt. Lia Playground in St. George, where they shouted phrases such as “We want ICE out.” They then marched down Wall Street, to Richmond Terrace.

Signs displayed phrases such as “Nazis were just doing their job as well,” “Immigrants built this country” and “Do what’s right, fight ICE for people’s rights.”…
