STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Nearly 500 Staten Islanders used discounted ride vouchers during Sunday’s St. Patrick’s Day parade as part of a partnership between District Attorney Michael McMahon and Uber aimed at preventing impaired driving.
The initiative resulted in 476 SISAFERIDE26 voucher codes being redeemed, providing discounted rides to and from parade festivities across the borough. No DUI or DWI arrests were reported on Staten Island while the program was active.
