Kid discovers man shot to death in new Cadillac in broad-daylight, mob-style slaying in 1981

In a mystery that endures to this day, a man was found shot to death in the driver’s seat of a brand-new Cadillac in broad daylight in Annadale in 1981.

A front-page story in the Advance on July 17, 1981, said that the victim was found at about 2:30 p.m. on Harold Avenue, just off of Hylan Boulevard, in a heavily wooded area of Annadale.

The victim was discovered sitting in the 1981, metallic-blue Cadillac, his head leaning out of the shattered window on the driver’s side of the vehicle.

The victim had been shot multiple times in the face and neck with a small-caliber revolver, sources close to the investigation told the Advance.

‘All the earmarks of a mob rub out’

Cops said that the slaying “had all the earmarks of a mob rub out,” the Advance reported…
