STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — As warmer spring weather draws more riders onto the roads, the NYPD on Staten Island is cracking down on illegal mopeds, which are often driven recklessly by teenagers.
Early this month, the NYPD’s 122nd Precinct, which covers the East Shore, posted multiple times on social media that its Quality of Life team was addressing concerns about illegal and reckless mopeds in the area.
