STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New details about the minutes, hours and days following the shooting death of a beloved Staten Island deli owner were revealed in court Tuesday — on the first day of the Hussein Adam murder trial.
Adam, 25, of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, is facing murder and robbery charges in connection with the July 8, 2023, slaying at Manor Deli and Convenience in Castleton Corners. If convicted, he faces the possibility of life in prison without parole.
Another suspect awaiting trial, Timothy Convery, 26, also of Bensalem, Pennsylvania, was Adam’s best friend, according to the defense. Video showed both men holding what appeared to be firearms inside the deli, according to statements in court.
