STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Freshman Casey Nugent continued her hot start by firing a two-hitter as St. Joseph Hill breezed past The Mary Louis Academy, 8-0, in CHSAA play at Snug Harbor Little League in Livingston.
Nugent, a right-hander, improved to 3-0 after striking out 10 in just five innings of work. Nugent was the beneficiary of a flawless defense that didn’t commit an error.
