Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez announced that Megan Horne, 34, of Staten Island, has been indicted for a series of hate crime assaults against three Muslim victims in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn. The attacks happened on January 30, 2026, near Fifth Avenue and 89th Street, 92nd Street and Gelston Avenue, and Fort Hamilton Parkway and 92nd Street.
The victims — including a 12-year-old girl — were wearing hijabs when they were allegedly punched, kicked, or pushed while the attacker made anti-Muslim remarks.
