STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — If you don’t like using pesticides to rid your garden of spotted lanternflies, an expert from Cornell University is offering a unique, chemical-free option.
“Do you know what has worked really nicely and I would recommend is? A handheld vacuum cleaner… it’s a non-pesticidal way to just take care of them,” Brian C. Eshenaur, an invasive species specialist with the Integrated Pest Management Program at the Ivy League school, told the Advance/SILive.com.
