Staten Island man arrested in pistol-whip robbery attempt at store

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Authorities allege that a 42-year-old man was part of a group that participated in an attempted robbery where a worker was pistol whipped at a convenience store in Mariners Harbor.

Jeremiah Jeffers, 42, of Grandview Avenue in the Mariners Harbor Houses, was arrested on March 18 for the incident on Dec. 9 around noon at an outdoor mall at 451 Northfield Ave. off Forest Avenue in his home community, according to the criminal complaint and police.
