STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — Josephine “Josie” Linton toasted her 109th birthday last week, having postponed the original celebration in January due to inclement weather.
Her birthday, officially on Jan. 11, was celebrated with family members and staff at Seaview Hospital Rehabilitation Center and Home, where she was treated to birthday cake and refreshments.
Linton, formerly of Westerleigh, is the youngest and last surviving child of the late Umberto and Conchetta Armocida. She has two children — Diane Scotto and her husband Michael, and Dennis Linton and his wife Roberta — and many grandchildren…
