Vacant building fire draws large FDNY response in Port Richmond on Staten Island

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — A fire at a vacant building in Port Richmond drew a large FDNY response Monday afternoon.

The blaze, which was reported at around 4:35 p.m., broke out on the first floor and exterior of an unoccupied three-and-a-half-story building under construction near the Staten Island Buddhist Vihara at 115 John St.
