Staten Island home badly damaged in early-morning fire

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The FDNY fought a fire at a house in Rossville early Friday morning.

The fire was reported at 12:31 a.m., at 97 Lenevar Ave., between Stafford and Sinclair avenues, according to a spokesperson for the FDNY.

The fire started on the first floor of the 20-by-40-foot private home, the FDNY spokesperson said.
