STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — The family of Leton Meyers, a 72-year-old West Brighton man who died Saturday after being struck by a bus, remembers him as an unforgettable person who “could light up any room.”
“My grandpa was the kind of person who could light up any room with one outrageous joke, say the most non-politically correct thing at the worst possible time, and somehow still have everyone laughing until they cried‚” Jaslene Meyers-Birchwood, Meyers’ granddaughter, wrote in a GoFundMe started to help cover funeral expenses.
“More than anything, we will miss him so much,” the post continued. “He loved in a way only he could and left memories none of us will ever forget.”…
