STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. — New York City public school students will have off from school for two days next week.
Students will enjoy a three-day weekend as all public schools will be closed on Monday, May 25, for Memorial Day. The federal holiday is held the last Monday in May each year and is a day to mourn and honor deceased service men and women.
