Stockton LEGO enthusiasts are in for a treat as the Brick Convention is set to make its debut in the city.
The Stockton Brick Convention will be held Saturday and Sunday at the San Joaquin County Fairgrounds. The two-day event is being advertised as a “LEGO lovers paradise.”
“Anything and everything LEGO you can imagine is going to be there. We’ll have LEGO Star Wars, we’ll have LEGO cities and trains,” Greyson Riley, event organizer told The Record on Wednesday. “There’s multiple experiences in the event and it comprises of four different aspects. There’s things to see, there’s people to meet, there’s interactive things to do and there’s stuff to buy.”
A ‘life-long LEGO fan’
Riley organized his first-ever LEGO convention in his hometown of North Carolina at the age of 14 years old, he said.
“I’ve been a lifelong LEGO fan. I got my first LEGO set when I was maybe about 3 years old and I never stopped building,” Riley said. “I really believe in the power. I really believe that LEGO’s is a toy, it’s a lot of fun, but it’s also so much more.”
