Crozier Fire forces closure of Northern California forest as flames continue to burn aggressively

(FOX40.COM) — According to the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, an area closure order was issued on Saturday afternoon for the El Dorado National Forest due to the Crozier Fire.

As a result, the use of areas, roads, and trails within the closure area is prohibited until further notice, officials added, saying the order was issued to “provide for public safety during wildland fire suppression efforts and forest rehabilitation work.”

Acting Forest Supervisor Jen House said, “We have over 1,500 firefighters here and many residents affected by the Crozier Fire. For their sake, we ask that the public respect the closure so we can concentrate on getting this fire contained as quickly as possible.”
