Scholarship winners in the newest Leadership Stockton class together will receive the greatest award amount in the leadership program’s history, its alumni group said in a news release.
In total, $5,000 will be divided among the winners of the Christopher Serpa Scholarship to help defer tuition costs, the release said.

“This year was extremely difficult in choosing the various scholarship winners,” Jaclyn Frenzel, president of Leadership Stockton’s alumni board, said.
“This board believes each person enrolled in Leadership Stockton has to have a personal stake in the class, thus no applicant was awarded a full scholarship.”

What is Leadership Stockton?
Founded in 1981, the leadership program announced its 2024-2025 class this month. The 26 students are set to study the city’s cultural scene, history, economy and other influences, according to the Greater Stockton Chamber of Commerce .
