(KRON) — Two men were arrested in connection to a homicide in Antioch that took the life of 47-year-old Efren Reynoso.
Antioch and Stockton police officers apprehended Elijah Birba, 21, and Christopher Paez Jr., 23, on Thursday. Paez and Birba were booked into a Contra Costa County jail on murder charges.
On the morning of August 16, Reynoso’s neighbor called police and asked for officers to check on nearby residents. The neighbor, who lives in the area of East 8th Street and A Street, reported hearing gunshots.
When officers arrived on scene, they found Reynoso suffering from fatal gunshot wounds inside a home. Investigators have not released a potential motive behind the killing.
