A Lodi resident was sentenced 11 years in state prison over his drug and firearm charges and will serve another 9 years in the penitentiary from prior convictions, according to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office.

Mikal Hall, 47, faced charges that included possession of over one kilogram of methamphetamine for sale, possession of fentanyl for sale, and being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, the District Attorney’s office said Tuesday.

The charges stemmed from a traffic stop that occurred on Oct. 19, 2023 when he was found with fentanyl. Prosecutors said a search of Hall’s residence had led to the discovery of meth, Xanax pills, a loaded firearm, ammunition and cash.

At the time, Hall was already on warrant status for previous convictions and had been evading authorities for three years.
