Bear Creek High School student accused of making threatening video against elementary school

While investigating a recent surge in school threats throughout the city, Stockton police arrested a 15-year-old Lodi Unified School District student on Tuesday.

The Stockton Police Department said the teenager was apprehended after he allegedly made a threatening video against a local elementary school. He could face criminal threat-related charges, according to police.

“We want to ensure parents and students realize that making threats can lead to disciplinary action at their school, including potential legal consequences,” police said.

The Lodi Unified School District said the teenager attends Bear Creek High School in north Stockton. District officials said he was not on campus Tuesday, but “will face appropriate disciplinary action.”

“Please remind your children that all safety threats will be taken seriously. Students who make threats against any school will face disciplinary action and potential arrest by law enforcement,” district officials said.

The teenager is the second Stockton student arrested in as many days for making threats of school violence.
