Two teens arrested in deadly Lodi shooting

(FOX40.COM) — One day after a 28-year-old man died of several gunshot wounds, Lodi Police announced the arrest of two teenagers as suspects in the shooting and said that it may have been gang-related.

Police said on Monday that officers were notified about a possible shooting from a gunshot recognition system around 4:45 a.m. that day.

Officers found a 28-year-old with several gunshot wounds near Pine and N. Main Streets, and he died a short time later.

On Tuesday shortly after 1 p.m., police said two teenagers were arrested early in the morning in the city of Jackson, about 35 miles northeast of Lodi.

Brother and sister arrested in connection to 2021 North Highlands homicide

Police said that detectives served a search warrant at a home and detained both suspects, ages 18 and 17.

The 18-year-old suspect was taken to the San Joaquin Jail and the other teen was taken to Juvenile Hall. Both are facing charges of homicide, conspiracy and gang enhancements.

Police said there is no indication of any other outstanding suspects.
