National Blue Ribbon schools were recently announced and one San Joaquin County campus was among the 30 on the list from California.
Schools are recognized based on their overall academic performance or progress in closing opportunity gaps among student subgroups, according to the California Department of Education. The recognized schools are among the state’s highest performing based on all student scores, subgroup student scores, and graduation rates, according to the department.
Mountain House High School, which opened in 2014 as San Joaquin County’s newest school in its newest city, made this year’s list.
