A Lodi man was believed to have died from injuries sustained in a vehicle crash, but his family was later told he was shot

A Lodi family is looking for answers after their teenage son was shot and killed near Acampo last week.

Jamaria Rodgers said San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office deputies initially told her family that her nephew Kenton Bluitt-Ealy was involved in an automobile accident around midnight on the evening of Oct. 25 near Jack Tone and Collier roads.
