It’s a good idea to throw on a warm extra layer, grab your sunglasses and give yourself extra time to get where you’re going as you get ready to head out the door Tuesday. High pressure building into northern California will act as a blocking pattern to push showers to our north and keep our region dry over the next several days. Cloudy skies have lingered overnight into early Tuesday, but showers are now exclusively to our north to start the day. Areas of dense fog have now developed across our region, and a Dense Fog Advisory is set to stay in effect through 11am Tuesday in areas of the valley from Butte and Glenn Counties to the south. Visibility down to a quarter mile will be possible, and make it difficult to see on our roads early today. We’ll have partly to mostly cloudy skies and dry conditions through the day. Temperatures are starting out in the mid to upper 40’s in the valley, 30’s to mid 40’s in the foothills, and upper 20’s to mid 30’s in our mountain zones this morning. Winds out of the north to 10mph will be likely, and gusts up to around 15mph are possible. High temperatures are projected to climb into the upper 50’s to lower 60’s in the valley, upper 40’s to upper 50’s in the foothills, and 40’s to lower 50’s in our mountain zones this afternoon.
