Northern California residents experience weather shift from rainy to cloudy

(FOX40.COM) — Many Northern California residents may have noticed the weather change from rainy to partially cloudy.

According to the National Weather Service Sacramento , overnight there were low temperatures that were forecast to be in the low mid-40s across the valley through Friday morning.

Some residents in the central and southern Sacramento Valley, Delta, and northern San Joaquin Valley may have even seen the fog in the early morning and may continue to for the next few days.

National Weather Services Sacramento reminds commuters that if there is a fog in the forecast here’s what to do before hitting the road:

  • Allow additional time to get to your destination
  • Turn on your low-beam headlights
  • While driving, slow down and leave extra space between you and other cars.

Currently in the Sacramento area as of 5 p.m. on Saturday, it is sunny at 53 degrees Fahrenheit. Tonight the temperature will come down to 40 degrees Fahrenheit with fog developing overnight.

As of 5:15 p.m. in Lake Tahoe, the temperature is at 30 degrees Fahrenheit heading into 20 degrees Fahrenheit with some fog coming in after midnight.
