Black bear cub rescued in Northern California shows signs of recovery

(FOX40.COM) — A black bear cub brought into Gold Country Wildlife Rescue in December shows signs of recovery after suffering from a series of skin infections.

On Friday, the wildlife rescue shared that Black Bear Cub #24-3926 shows signs of growing fuzz and appears to be staying wild.

“(He) is never seen out when we are in cleaning, feeding, and checking on him. He also never comes out during the day, and is remaining busy exploring his enclosure and finding mischief to get into overnight,” Gold Country Wildlife Rescue wrote.

The cub was found in Coloma on Dec. 9 and appeared to be severely dehydrated, anemic, suffering from serious ear infections in both ears, an obvious skin infection, and w as severely underweight…
