Alexis Gabe’s family ‘extremely disappointed’ after DA declines to file charges against mother of accused killer

( KRON ) — The Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office announced Thursday that the mother of the man accused of killing Alexis Gabe will not face charges. Gabe’s family told KRON4 it is “extremely disappointed” in the decision.

Gabe was an Oakley woman who was found to be dead after she was originally reported missing in 2022. Gabe’s ex-boyfriend, Marshall Curtis Jones, was charged with Gabe’s murder. Gabe was last seen on Jan. 26, 2022. Jones was killed by police in Washington state in June of 2022.

The DA’s office investigated whether Jones’ mother, Alicia Coleman-Clark, acted as an accessory after the fact in connection with Gabe’s murder. Gabe’s family met with police in December, and the Oakley and Antioch Police Departments pursued leads.
