Modesto Man Charged with DUI and Unlawful Possession of Loaded Firearm Following Traffic Stop in Ceres

Yesterday morning, a Ceres Police officer arrested Andres Moreno, a 28-year-old Modesto resident, after observing signs of erratic driving and spotting a loaded firearm during a traffic stop. Ceres Police Department detailed the incident in a social media post, explaining that Officer Jacob Henn identified the suspect’s black Dodge Durango driving on the wrong side of the road at approximately 1:14 AM near Nadine Avenue and Herndon Road.

According to the department’s post, Officer Henn, patrolling the area, conducted a traffic stop which revealed that Moreno, behind the wheel of the vehicle, displayed signs of alcohol intoxication with a loaded firearm in plain view. With the loaded gun found in the vehicle, Andres was promptly removed. The Ceres Police Department stated, “Andres was promptly removed from the vehicle.”…
