MODESTO, California — A 24-year-old Modesto woman has been arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident that left a local resident with major injuries, according to the California Highway Patrol (CHP).On March 25, 2025, the CHP arrested Magali Sevilla, who was booked into the Stanislaus County Public Safety Center for felony hit-and-run. The arrest follows a collision that occurred on March 18, 2025, at approximately 7:20 a.m. on S. 7th Street, south of Blankenburg Avenue. Emergency personnel found Cheryl Spangler, a 48-year-old from Modesto, lying on the west dirt shoulder and transported her to Doctors Medical Center with major injuries.
