According to SPD, the incident happened on the 600 block of East Oak Street around 10:40 p.m. when a 24-year-old man was walking in the area. The suspect approached him with a knife and attempted to stab him, but was unsuccessful.

SPD stated that the suspect fled and was arrested by the responding officers without any incident and arrested a 35-year-old man for assault with a deadly weapon.
