( KRON ) — Another rainy and unsettled day today with a chance of heavy isolated downpours and afternoon thunderstorms. Highs will remain cool in the upper 50s to low 60s. After today we are in for a gradual warming trend as skies clear out quickly and remain dry well into next week. By the weekend, expect highs back in the 70s.

According to the National Weather Service, there is a 20 to 30 percent chance of thunderstorms in the Bay Area. For Sacramento, Stockton, Modesto and Merced there is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms and a 2 to 4 percent chance of tornadoes, per the NWS.
