Sacramento teen arrested for shooting and killing friend

A 16-year-old Sacramento teen was arrested for shooting and killing a 16-year-old girl at a residence on the 8000 block of Chriswoods Court in South Sacramento on Sunday. According to the Sheriff’s Department, the teen brought a gun to the home, and he and the girl were playing with the gun when he shot her in the head and then fled the scene.

Detectives located and arrested the teen in Stockton on Tuesday. He is in juvenile hall facing charges of murder. The teen also had previous arrests for weapons and sex crimes.
