STOCKTON, Calif. — A landmark water tower known for being part of Stockton’s downtown skyline is in the process of being removed piece-by-piece.
It’s part of a broader effort that was approved by the California Public Utilities Commission and started in 2017 to retire elevated tanks due to seismic stability concerns, according to the California Water Service.
