Northern California deputies intercept semi-truck full of cocaine from Mexican border

(FOX40.COM) — Law enforcement in Northern California recently seized a massive amount of cocaine hidden in a semi-truck that reportedly came from the Mexican border. • Video Above: What do different “schedules” of drugs mean?

On April 22, the San Joaquin County Sheriff’s office and surrounding agencies worked together to intercept a semi-truck loaded with 189 kilos of cocaine in Tracy. Deputies said the truck was tracked from the Mexican border and led agents to a residence on Koster Road.

One suspect was detained without incident, according to SJCSO. Another suspect fled and barricaded himself in the attic, however, he was arrested by the SWAT team with the help of a K9.
